A great 6 months for Construction services...

Construction services have had a great 6 months and I could not be happier with the progress we have made. In the delivery of projects and the improvements on training for operatives and staff, the commercial team have worked extremely hard to secure the works for this year and all efforts will now be focused on the operational teams to deliver in these very challenging times with regards procurement and resource. I’m very confident in the team we have developed and grown.

We have continued to develop relationships with our existing clients and also with new clients. These relationships will be very important over the next six months with any lead time issues and changes to specifications to minimize these effects.

Schemes which are due to start shortly are – South Hunsley School, Kingswood Academy and Sewell FM multiple schemes

Sherburn Hungate

Progress so far

Works have now completed at Sherburn Hungate, including all snagging.

The team achieved very well on Considerate Constructors with a score of 35 on their first visit and 37 on their second. The school engagement has been very good and feedback has been fantastic!

This has been a joint effort where we have also delivered in house groundworks and represents the model we will be using going forward.

Whats coming up

The feedback from the client and the school has been exceptional and a great boost to the team members involved.

Drax Power Station

Progress so far

This year we have seen an extension to the contract for a further year, which is a testament to the hard work from the site team.

The team are currently on with the hub project which is very high profile for the site, along with the ongoing civils and FM works.

Whats coming up

We received a substantial order for tarmac works which will be starting shortly.

Opportunities / Training

We have operatives currently booked in for fire training and confined spaces.

Humber NHS Foundation Trust - 4 wards

Progress so far

Phase 5 of this project is now complete, with phase 1A starting next.

Whats coming up

phase 1A and 1B will be commencing, this includes work on the bedrooms and corridors.

Opportunities / Training

A few operatives are to be trained in the use of Primera access control.

Bilfinger UK LTD

Progress so far

We have now completed the third project for this new client, with the fourth about to commence.

So far we have installed temporary site cabin base’s and their access ramps and stairs, we’ve also just installed the crane bases for their overhead cranes.

Whats coming up

We are just about to start on the bombing bay which is a block building filled with sand to protect people from radiation.

Progress so far

We have completed phase 1 with a very happy client and are now in the process of handing over phase 2.

Whats coming up

We are in the process of handing over the 12 week project.

Humber NHS Foundation Trust - Maister lodge

Progress so far

We are currently installing the flooring and doors as well as proceeding with the decoration works.

Whats coming up

Continuation of groundworks, garden works and works to the front entrance and the kitchens.
