Progress so far
We are currently on site at Hull Royal Infirmary to undertake alterations within part of the virology building, converting current existing office and warehouse space into further laboratory testing facilities. The work will comprise of demolition works, construction of internal partition walls and suspended ceilings, mechanical and electrical works, joinery and fit out, decorations and installations of fixtures and fittings.
So far on the project we have safely transferred the existing storage freezers to their new location. We have completed the construction and plastering of the new internal partitions to form new testing facilities. Mechanical and electrical has progressed well and we are now looking to start 2nd Fix activities on the 16th. Joinery and IPS second fix activities are also being advanced and will continue into the new year along with decoration and suspended ceilings. We are planning to commence flooring works over the festive period ready for completion early in the new year.
