Progress so far
The Kingswood Academy project is now complete.
We were able to get the classrooms to a stage which allowed the teachers to start setting their classrooms up early, filling up their boards with information and getting ready to teach for the new term, so that as soon as we handed over, the rooms were ready to go.
We handed over a few days earlier than originally scheduled, so the very next morning all 6 classrooms were full of pupils, ready for there first lesson of the day.
“A chain is only as strong as its weakest link“
The Sewell team would like to thank all our subcontractors who worked on the project, for working as a team at a high standard in quality and most of all a high standard in health and safety.
We would also like to thank Dale Friend and his on site Robertson team for working with us on this project, with their vast knowledge about the school, it made things flow so much easier.
Last of all, congratulations to Kingswood Academy for yet again out-doing their previous years GCSE results and now stand as the best performing secondary school in Hull.
A few words from the Headteacher, Mr R.Westoby:
“The new classrooms created by Sewells have been completed to an exceptionally high standard. They have truly transformed spaces that we’re not conducive to learning into classrooms that support our teachers to deliver world-class lessons. We are extremely pleased with the final result and it was an absolute pleasure working with Steve Ratcliffe and his team. I would certainly recommend Sewells to other schools and Headteachers.”
