Project Description

The works comprise of the strip out and partial demolition of Unit G, small extension to the rear, new glazed shop front, and cladding to the external elevations. Repair and recoating of existing clad roofs and gutter linings. Internal partitions, alterations to incoming services and underground drainage, external works, and repairs to the existing car park.

Fun fact:

We’ve installed 230 metres of internal drainage, which is the equivalent of 293 of the iconic M&S birthday cake, Colin the Caterpillar.

Progress so far

So far, we've completed the below:

• Mesh works in preparation for concrete slab
• Groundwork preparation works to trolly bay and front carpark
• Preparation for steal works
• Steel framing system (SFS) walls continuing
• Preparation works to tiled pillars to main entrance

Over the next two weeks

The next steps of the project are as follows:

• Boarding works to the internal SFS walls
• Tape and filling
• Groundworks in preparation for tarmac works
• Steal frame been erected
• Tiling to front two columns
• Cladding works to the rear
• Aco drainage and concreate works to rear
