Here at Rutland Mills we have been collecting Easter eggs from the supply chain and have managed to collect over 400 eggs in total, which will be distributed over a number of charities in the local area.
Building 7: The structural strengthening to the trusses is now complete and connected with large steel plates. Re-pointing of the external brickwork has now been completed on the upper levels along with the rendering. The roof is currently being slated and progressing well. The eaves brick rebuild is coming to a close, meaning that once the roof is complete, other than windows, the external façade works will be complete.
Building 9: The roof is now fully complete which allows the scaffolding to start being struck. Paint work is now finished on the second floor to the internal trusses, as well as the match board which is now being installed to the internal roof. All of the openings are complete and infilled by the bricklayers.
Building 10: The strip out to the roof is now complete, allowing the joiners to start replacing the purlins that have deteriorated over time. The timber flooring on the first floor is now fully complete, we had to replace this due to the old floor being rotten along with the second floor and third floor.
Building 11: Internally the trusses have now been painted and the match board cladding works have commenced. Repairs and repointing is well underway to the external walls. The roof is now water tight, which enables the roofers to start installing the slate tiles. Piling works are also being carried out where the new build is being built. The ground beams will be cast this week.
Building 7: The roof and the external façade works will complete and the bird cage will be stripped internally, allowing floor works to commence.
Building 9: The sarking board will be fully complete as well as the decoration works. Windows to the ground floor will also be installed along with the internal staircase.
Building 10: We will be installing the new timbers to the roof and starting the roof coverings.
Building 11: The roof works will complete to the higher section. All the external façade work will near completion and the ground beams will also finish in the new build section. The new steel frame will also be due on site.
