Progress so far
Sewell Construction is pleased to be working at Townend Court, supporting Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust and Citycare in delivering essential schemes. This latest project involves extension and refurbishment work to two areas of the facility, the first to the former County Ward which is going to become flexible staff workspaces and free up clinical space elsewhere. The second, a small extension and a light refurbishment to the Beech Ward improving the layout and increasing functionality for patients and staff.
After a good solid start, Townend Court has seen some significant progress in the 12 weeks we have now been operational. All structural steelworks have been complete and signed off, including the installation of the wind posts. With the 1st fix electrics being completed, including the data cabling on the ground floor and 1st floor, this allowed the mist coat to be applied and the dado trunking to be installed. The ducting 1st fix is also complete with ceilings waiting to be installed. The 1st-floor decoration has progressed very well indeed with it now requiring its final coat. Vinyl flooring has been installed to the 1st-floor kitchenette and the toilets. All the fire line board had also been installed and sealed along with fire stopping. The project is progressing well to reach completion on the 20th of November.
